IBS students win 14th Challenge Cup award

        International Business School undergraduate students Cao Sumin, Sui Bin, Yang Shanshan, Tian Juan and He Yidan won the third award at the 14th Challenge Cup National University Students Extracurricular Academic and S&T Works Competition, held in Guangdong University of Technology on November 20, 2015.
  Their work is titled the Measuring of Disadvantages of Building Xi'an into a Regional Financial Center under the One Belt, One Road Strategy and it is completed under the supervision of IBS teacher Cai Jian.
  Measuring quantitative indicators, their work analyzes the development advantages, potentials, limiting factors, opportunities and challenges for Xi'an to become a regional financial center, as compared with Chongqing and Chengdu. It builds an interpretative structural modeling to adjust priorities of development and improving reform plans, in an effort to provide theoretical basis and specific suggestions for decision-making in building Xi'an into a regional financial center along the New Silk Road Economic Belt.
  The Competition is the most popular and prestigious national event for university students in improving students' science quality and creative abilities.
  This year's competition was co-sponsored by Central Committee of the Communist Young League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, All-China Students' Federation and Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and co-organized by Guangdong University of Technology and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
